Colleen was born and raised in the Appalachian wilderness, spending her childhood immersed in nature and sketching. Her lifelong passions for art and the natural world led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in Art from Mercyhurst University. She then had a 25 year successful career as a Graphic Artist then Website Designer in California.
The desert has always felt like a spiritual home, from Borrego Springs to the vast Mojave. Colleen now lives and paints full-time in the high desert, drawing inspiration from the arid beautiful landscapes.
