WHAT IS SHAMANISM?
We are all connected to everything on Earth, we are all ONE, walk in Beauty!
Shamanism is the oldest form of spirituality and healing known to man. It works from the holistic approach; if something is wrong with your body, then the illness will have links to your mental and spiritual state of health and vice versa. Shamanic principles state that everything in the world has a spirit, a life force, like animism and that the natural state of the world is to be in harmony. When we are out of harmony we can seek healing through releasing blockages be they physical, mental or emotional and by releasing these blockages we allow energy to flow back into harmony. Shamanism also works on the principle that we are all connected; think quantum physics and the theory that the atomic particles in me are also in you and in the walls, chairs, plants, animals and so on... and not just in this time plain but in the past and future as well. So our disharmony and blockages effect others as well as ourselves. However by tuning into positive energy frequencies (vibrations) we can alter our state to make ourselves more in balance both physically, mentally and emotionally.
EXTRACTION & HEALING
The Shamanic practitioner works with Spirit to remove intrusions which have upset the balance of harmony within the client. This is done by removing energy blocks and unwanted intrusions that the Shamanic practitioner is allowed to see during the session. In essence it is a clearing of the client’s energetic field to allow space for the further work to restore realignment with harmony. Extraction is the starting point for every client. The further work might include the following:
SOUL RETRIEVAL
This work is undertaken by the Shamanic Practitioner to find the parts of the soul that have split during a crisis in the client’s life. The fragment that is brought back through the journey of ‘soul retrieving’ is of a transpersonal nature. It is not the wound that we bring back, it is the part that had to go into hiding in order to survive. This may be from the client’s current or past life. With the retrieval of these ‘lost parts’ the gifts of creativity, joy, enthusiasm, optimism and faith among many other previously inaccessible qualities may be reinstated. Many clients feel a stronger sense of self and an answer to the question ‘who am I?’ as they are restored to their full potential.
POWER ANIMALS
Power animals are our spirit allies aka Animal Spirit Guides/Totems which appear to the Shamanic practitioner as they journey on behalf of the client. The animal which presents itself is dependent on the client’s particular needs and bonds with the client to offer guidance and wisdom.The animal may become a mentor or protector for the client during a crisis or remain with them through out their life. When a power animal is retrieved for a client, the qualities of their particular animal are then accessible for the client to call on. For instance, a woman of the eagle is given super vision – i.e she is able to look at an issue with greater perspective.
DIVINATION (Reading)
On behalf of the client and only with permission a journey is taken into a non-ordinary reality (Spiritual Dimension )to gain insight and knowledge that help us answer questions a client may have.

My Grandmother, the baby in the photo above, was a healer, she worked in the hospital as a nurse for over 40 years and she did occasional readings for people she knew well. She loved animals and was such a character, she had a really good sense of humor and laughed often.
I really loved both my grandmothers and they were very kind and loving to me. There wasn't much they could do about my parents abuse, so they spent a lot of time with me away from my home life. I think as long as you get love from someone as a child you are ok! But you also have to heal that inner child as an adult! Children of trauma have brains that are wired completely differently than "Normal" usually adults with anxiety or depression, these adults can get triggered by current events that is caused by unresolved trauma from childhood. Shamanic Journey is a Journey within with the help of your ancestors. When you heal your trauma you heal the trauma of generations of people before you. You are also healing the trauma of your future generations by being aware.
Pohwanton People, my History
Hello! My name is C. Wolf Moon and I am the Resident Shaman for Azeztulite Mine Direct. I am tasked with all the readings, healings and Spiritual art sold on this website. My Maternal Ancestry was from North Carolina Pohwantans Native American Tribe, an off shoot of the North Eastern Algonquins. My Family has documentation from a marriage record of my great grandmother ( shown left with my infant grandmother circ. 1909 she had her at age 50!!!! Miracle baby! I feel lucky to be here lol).
My Great Grand Parents had to have a public court hearing, before getting a marriage license, because at that time in North Carolina, it was illegal to marry a Black Woman. They thought because the color of her skin was so dark she was black, so my Great Grandmother had her father and family show proof of their Pohwantan heritage that she was not black, but 100% Native American ( which were legal to marry a white at that time) so she could marry my English/Irish Great Grandfather legally.
My Great Grandmother had three names, an English name Cleome ( Spider Flower) and her Pohwantan name "Naantam Umpsquoth" ( translation: Wolf Moon ), and a secret name ( as tradition in her family). I took on her Pohwantan name to pass on her traditions of Shamanic healing.
I do believe my Shamanic Journey and walking between worlds all the "knowing"" & healing knowledge came directly from my maternal great grandmothers line.
I do a lot of Generational healing work with her help.
Shaman Journey
I don't think you have to have Shamanic Illness or have trauma to walk in Shamanism, or even be struck by lightning is not a prerequisite of being a Shaman. I think people who connect to the Earth, Animals, Plants etc. all can learn to tap into this reverence. It is a calling, and a choosing to live as one with the Earth and everything in it and passing on this knowledge to future generations. We are the Keepers of this Earth. We are all Shaman, If only we chose to open our eyes and hearts.
When I do readings for clients I do them with a photo. I turn that "switch" on and I can see animated faces of the Spirits and Spiritual Guides appear in your photo I can see all that are with you at that time, that's how I walk the Spirit World for you.
